Good things come to those who have Hope!

Why should i have Hope in God after he let me down many times? Do i really need to have hope in God after everything i have been through? Where was he when the accident occurred, when i lost a relative, when i lost my job, when my spouse left, when i was oppressed, when i have no food or home or clothes or even money?

The question is really endless if we keep on going in that manner and that is why we have to point out the answer if we really need to have hope and know exactly who our hope lies in and why we should even have hope in the first place. Also we have to figure out why certain things hoped for don’t work out at the times we expected.

What is Hope? Hope in short is a feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen.

I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust. Acts 24

The answer to this lies in God who is the Author and Finisher of our Faith, he is the reason why we live, it’s in him that our hope lies. We have to put our hope in him and trust him to make things work at the right time. Most times we hope for things and expect them to happen when it’s not yet time for their occurrence and when such situations don’t turn out as expected we tend to blame God for not being on our side.

God is not a Man that should be on anybody’s side, he designed us to be on his side, to trust him to do the right things at the right time. If we align ourselves to live in according to his will we will always be victorious and everything will work out fine for us. Unexpected Miracles will manifest in our favor because we have submitted our will to Him.

Jesus is a clear example, He had hope in God even when he was being battered, bruised and wounded. He knew that the end results will be better than his present situation. He knew that it was possible for God to raise him from the grave and it eventually occurred. His hope was not cut short.

Other notable Men such as Abraham, David, Isaac, Noah, Jacob, Joshua, Moses e.t.c all hoped in the Lord and they we never let down. Their hopes were not what they wished for but their hope was what God intended to do. In order for us to have our hopes fulfilled we have to trust him and take his will. We have to surrender ourselves to him. God is not bad he will not give us a will we cannot bear.

Memory Verse – Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Father in Heaven, thank you for your amazing grace upon our lives. We surrender our lives to you today and we say let you will be done in Jesus name. We abandon our will and accept your will for our lives in Jesus name we pray with the power of the Hold Spirit. Amen
